“If you thought parenting came naturally to you, think again”…..

Sample a few gems from this book,

  1. “Put a drop of vanilla essence inside the math’s book. It serves as a stress buster.”
  2. “Distraction works even in the biggest tantrum.”
  3. “Parenting is not about power struggles. It should not be about who is more powerful the child or the parent.”

Mrs. Swati Popat Vats author of the book “Are you unknowingly harming your child” says “The role of parenting has changed with changing times. The brain is the control house of all the functions of the body and sadly or luckily God gave all -parents and teachers - the responsibility of wiring a child’s brain, of course he forgot to tell us about it, or maybe he did and we were not listening.”

If we understand the secret of life skills, then all parents will have a child that is happy, motivated, a great learner, an achiever, emotionally and socially strong and a powerhouse of knowledge and learning. But it is never too late, so here’s a book which takes care of all this and more.

The book talks about the challenges of parenting. High pressure jobs, nuclear families, less time to spend at home and more pressure on children have re-defined the rules of Parenting today. “This book will help you to understand your child as an individual and identify with your child’s emotions & needs. In short it will educate you on the right methods to bring up a Happy & Healthy child” says Mrs. Swati Popat Vats.

This book was inspired by Mr. Pavan Podar and is an initiative undertaken under his guidance to draw attention to the loopholes in parenting and how parents can become more aware of the do’s and don’ts of parenting.

Ms. Priya Dutt, who launched the book said, “Children are the future of our nation and it is imperative on our part as parents to inculcate in them all the right things from their early days of childhood. Books like these will be like a building block for the parents to lay a firm foundation for their children by understanding them better.”
